Adventures
Begin!
Tihei mauri ora, tēnā koutou, tēnā tātou. Kia Orana, Welcome to DustyRyders Jetskis website.
Here you can find out about our exciting Jet Ski Hire available from Lakes, Rotoiti, Rotōrua in the Bay of Plenty, with our Sea-Doo Personal watercrafts Jetskis or "Whakatere", a kupu, a word used to convey navigating quickly via waka/boat, it is the perfect expression for what we have to offer with our Sea-Doo Jetskis for Hire in "Ngā Rotō" ( our Lakes ) Rotōrua and Rotoiti, aka two lakes of Kahumatamoemoe, with "iti" meaning smaller of "Ngā Rotō',iti" in English means the smaller of the two lakes!🤏🏽💦💦Let's continue now focusing on our JETSKIS. I aim to inform and guide you with the best practices for the safe operation of our Jetskis, regardless of your experience level, whether you're a beginner or a salty Captain. Please continue to read about Rider drills that will enhance your riding in minutes if you follow these simple instructions.
Step 1*Start your engine idle out into space clear of any obstacles 100 meter then turn handle bars full left lock position, this begins a circle at idle complete a few small rounds slowly increaseing thrust change direction and do a few circles in opossite direction switch back completeing figure 8 patterns this will help you learn how to get the nose up. Hydroplane and overcome the listing motion rolling side to side using thrust or VTS Trim. Hydroplaning on a jet ski is about managing speed and balance to create that thrilling lift-and-drop motion.
When you accelerate, the jet ski's hull lifts, and the nose rises as water pressure builds underneath. The ski begins to skim across the water at high speeds rather than plowing through it—this is hydroplaning. The goal is maintaining the proper throttle control to keep it gliding smoothly.
If you ease off the throttle, the ski settles back into the water, and the nose drops down as the hull regains complete contact with the surface. Some riders use this technique to create a bouncing effect, using body position and throttle control to lift and drop the front end rhythmically.
VTS control can help with listing or lopsidedness when planning. Sit Ford on the Jetski, try keeping a low centre of gravity." Crouch down, head down behind the handlebars. Remember you're going relatively fast. Passengers, get close to the driver, and stay still. Reposition weights evenly.
With our machines' advanced GPS fleet management systems and support vessels on standby, we know where you are and can assist in any situation.
The 5-knot rule in New Zealand is a key maritime safety regulation that ensures vessels operate at safe speeds in certain areas. According to Maritime NZ, you must not exceed 5 knots (a fast walking speed) if you are:
-
Within 200m of the shore, any structure or boat displaying a diver's flag.
-
Within 50m of another ship or a person swimming.
-
On a powerboat where any person has a body part outside the rails or edge of the deck.
What should you take on the JetSki with limited stow space? Carry a backpack with, e.g., a towel, togs, swimsuits, A spare jumper, a dry top half Jacket, water bottle, and snacks are also good. It can be cold out on the lakes. Footwear: water sneakers, sandals, or bare feet,

Let me "Spark" your interest more and delve into the specs of our Sea-Doo Sparks models.
Two Sparks Jetskis are available in our fleet of five varying Sea-Doo models. Our Sparks are 3up models, new and my favorite to ride on the lakes. They are lightweight, easy to maneuver, and perfect for beginners and experienced riders. Basic specs include a robust Rotax engine, a polytec hull for lightweight durability, IBR intelligent brake trim and reverse, and sports and touring mode options at your fingertips, giving you an extra boost of power and enjoyable thrills.
Sea-Doo BRP manufacturer suggests the Sparks 3up max weight onboard load capacity is 204kg. I strongly disagree with Sea-Doo's analysis, indicating that "Sparks" are best ridden solo. When operated solo Sparks are the most straightforward and most exciting Jetski ride for trixx, play learning and attempting advanced handling techiques, are small lite and fast Remember to keep your safety lanyard key attached to your wrist when operating this trigger is automatic engine shut off when pulled free from Dess Key Port incase you fall off the Sparks or any machines if you dont have your key attached to your wrist and you come off the Jetski wont stop
